In this dictionary, we look at terms that don’t fall into a specific category. They’re words, phrases or abbreviations used by young people in every day life.

FRFor Real; used to emphasise honesty or agreement
BetAgreement or acknowledgement. Example – “Bet I’ll be there.”
CapA lie
No CapNo lie/being honest
SusSuspicious or shady
SlayTo do something amazingly well or to look great
DeluluShort for ‘delusional’, often jokingly in relation to unrealistic hopes.
SimpSomeone who shows excessive affection or admiration (often for a crush.
MidShort for ‘mediocre’. For when something isn’t impressive.
FireAmazing or great. Example – “That song’s fire.”
GOATGreatest Of All Time
Bussin’Really good (especially food).
Vibe checkChecking someone’s attitude or energy
KevinSomething that is bad. Example – “That is so Kevin.”
